BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shelar on Tuesday demanded a white paper on the desilting of nullahs carried out by the BMC in the city.
Shelar expressed his displeasure after inspecting some of the nullah cleaning work in the western suburbs. Meanwhile, Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani held a review meeting and instructed senior officials to conduct spot visits twice a day.
Shelar inspected desilting works at Gazdar Bandh Junction, South Avenue, North Avenue, and SNDT nullah in the western suburbs. He disputed the civic body's claim of having completed 75% of the work, asserting that only 40 to 45% had been finished.
