The BJP on Tuesday said that it has set an ambitious target of winning over 45 of the total 48 Lok Sabha seats and over 200 of the total 288 Assembly seats in Maharashtra, along with the Eknath Shinde-led Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 23 of the 25 seats (out of the total 48) it contested in Maharashtra, while the party's then ally Shiv Sena bagged 18.
