The Supreme Court in September 2022 had called up for a report from the Madras High Court Registry, when the said discrepancy was being brought to notice, after the court terminated the said situation "unusual".
A report has also been submitted by the Registrar General of the High Court before the Supreme Court in the sealed cover.
The bench comprising of Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice Bela Trivedi in the case observed and recorded satisfaction with the justification provided on January 23. The details of the order was not recorded by the bench.
