Gill showcased his batting prowess in the match, scoring 39 runs off just 20 balls with the help of seven boundaries. His aggressive innings resulted in an impressive strike rate of 195.00. However, his innings was cut short by Ravindra Jadeja’s dismissal, thanks to the quick reflexes of wicketkeeper MS Dhoni. Notably, Gill holds the distinction of having the second-highest run tally in a single IPL season at a particular venue. His consistent performances at the Narendra Modi Stadium have made it a special ground for him.

During the IPL 2023 season at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Shubman Gill showcased exceptional batting skills. In nine innings, he accumulated a total of 572 runs, including two centuries and three half-centuries. His highest score in the stadium was an impressive 129 runs. With an average of 71.50, Gill proved to be a consistent and valuable contributor to his team’s success in the tournament.
