Speaking at an election rally in East Champaran, Bihar, Modi indirectly targeted leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav, whom he described as "born with silver spoons." Modi criticized the INDIA bloc for allegedly embodying corruption, divisive politics, and a disdain for Sanatan Dharma. "The nation cannot move forward with the sins of the INDIA bloc, which stands for corruption, appeasement politics, represents the 'tukde-tukde' gang, and a perverted mindset that heaps scorn on Sanatan Dharma," he stated.
He claimed that the INDIA bloc was already faltering in the elections and predicted that it would continue to suffer in the remaining phases, culminating in a significant defeat when votes are counted on June 4.
Modi also alleged that the Congress party intends to alter the Constitution to revoke reservations for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes, reallocating them to those engaged in "vote jihad." He suggested that if not for B.R. Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru would have prevented reservations for SCs and STs.
The Prime Minister bristled at the opposition's criticism of his government's welfare schemes, asserting that his critics, with their wealth allegedly hidden in Swiss banks, cannot understand the struggles of common people as he does, having been born into poverty. "They were opening accounts in Swiss banks, while the people of India were starving," he claimed.
