TV hit Silo's shocking scenario has 'parallel with Covid lockdowns'

IT DEPICTS a society enslaved by rules they believe are meant to protect them – and smash-hit TV series Silo has never been more relevant, one of the leading stars has said.

A “shocking lack of resistance and a herd-like mentality” seen across the globe means the Apple TV + dystopian thriller should be “a warning to us about the dangers of conformity and not asking questions”, insisted actor Tim Robbins.

The 64-year-old plays the head of IT at Silo, a 150-storey-deep underground bunker housing 10,000 residents.

Generations have lived there for at least two centuries, but no one knows for how long or why they were forced underground to begin with.

The show, which is available on the streaming site, is based on the science fiction stories by American writer Hugh Howey.
