DONALD Trump's presidency is unlikely to mean new tax breaks for Americans living in the UK, despite Trump's pledge to end the system of so-called "double taxation", accountancy firm has warned.

Trump tax aid 'unlikely' for US expats

The President-elect pledged during his campaign that he would reform the taxation of millions of US citizens overseas if he was re-elected.

In a statement issued last month, he wrote: "I support ending the doubletaxation of overseas Americans." US citizens living abroad must file tax returns with the IRS, which can mean they have to pay taxes in both the US and their country of residence.
