Harry lands the laughs at Travolta's expense

AVIATION LEGEND AWARD FOR PRINCE

The Duke Of Sussex, accepting the Living Legend of Aviation award, delivered jokes and made touching comments about his mother Diana at the Beverly Hills bash.

Show host and Living Legend pioneering member John Travolta gave Harry, appearing without wife Meghan, a large gold medal after fooling around on stage.

But attendees were “a little saddened” the Duke didn’t comment on his family medical issues in his first public appearance since the Princess of Wales’s abdominal surgery and the King’s prostate diagnosis.

The 39-year-old chose instead to speak about how helicopter flight felt like “magic” and allowed him freedom in his life.

However, there were reports he and Meghan had “reached out” in some way.

It is unclear how exactly the couple had made contact but sources claimed they had relayed their concern and best wishes to the King and Princess of Wales.

The Duchess was expected to attend – with hordes of photographers gathered outside to capture her arrival – but she had to miss the ceremony after one of their children became unwell. Security ushered the Duke in through a side entrance.

The family heath issues didn’t affect Harry’s mood as he joked around with experienced pilot Travolta, 69.
