The final electoral roll in Tamil Nadu was published on Monday (February 23, 2026) following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

The District Election Officers (who are Collectors) released the numbers in their respective districts. Later, Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik held a press conference in the afternoon at Chennai.

Following an order of the Supreme Court of India, the Election Commission of India (ECI), on January 30 said that they had instructed that the list of the names of the persons figuring in the category of “logical discrepancies” shall be displayed at the gram panchayat bhawans, public places and Taluka/Sub-Division, including the ward offices in urban areas.

The final electoral roll of Puducherry was published on February 14, 2026. The Union Territory has an electorate of 9,44,211. Meanwhile, nearly 8% of voters have been removed across nine States and Union Territories in the final electoral rolls published after the second phase of the SIR.
