She was taken to the state-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata where she was treated and released on Thursday night. The doctors will review her health condition on Friday.
SSKM director, Manimoy Bandopadhyay, said that Banerjee was taken to the “hospital at 7.30 pm after she had suffered injuries following a fall at her home caused due to a push from behind. CT scan, Echocardiogram and doppler tests were performed on her”.
Banerjee was urged to remain at the hospital but she preferred to go home. “Three stitches were applied on her forehead and one on her nose. Her health condition will be reviewed on Friday,” said Bandopadhyay. Her sister-in-law and nephews who were at home immediately rushed her to the SSKM Hospital. She was taken to the Woodburn Ward at SSKM.
