NEW DELHI: Being the conscience-keeper of democracy, the court cannot turn a blind eye when the ends of justice are being bulldozed in broad daylight, the Delhi High Court has observed, setting aside an order cancelling the lease deed of a charitable hospital built on public land.
The high court said it is a travesty of justice that an institution contributing to a noble cause being that of running a charitable hospital on public land and providing sound research and treatment facilities has been made to suffer the rigours of cancellation of the lease deed and vacation of the property.
