The Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City is prepared to accept former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice L.Guo who had been sentenced to life imprisonment for qualified human trafficking.

BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr. said that security measures are being enhanced at the CIW where Guo will be transferred after the Pasig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 167 promulgated a decision on Thursday, Nov. 20.

Also convicted were Rachelle Malonzo Carreon, Jaimielyn Cruz, and Walter Wong Rong.
