CHRISTMAS at Dunham Massey, the after-dark illuminated festive trail, will return to the historic National Trust venue in Greater Manchester between Friday, November 18, 2022, and Monday, January 2, 2023. It may only be August but public demand for the hugely popular Christmas light trail is so high that early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
This family-friendly, one-mile trail will once again be packed with captivating illuminations. Curated installations this year have a botanical theme and include larger-than-life colour-changing lilies, a glowing tunnel of giant gladioli, a multi-coloured laser garden within the wooded area and a floral-inspired piece called 'Light a Wish' - a huge glowing structure shaped like the floating heads of dandelions reaching high into the night sky.
Christmas at Dunham Massey is full of seasonal surprises and shimmering reflections that cast light on beautiful silhouettes of majestic trees, all choreographed to a soundtrack of festive favourites.
Independent street food vendors will bring a delicious twist to the event with tasty treats on offer. Visitors can complete their walk under the stars with a *spiced winter warmer or *hot chocolate shared with friends and family. Everyone loves toasting a marshmallow over an open fire and the artisan *marshmallow stall gives locals the chance to warm their hands and enjoy this sweet outdoor tradition.
