Teenagers arrested in murder inquiry

THE young man at the centre of a murder investigation in Old Trafford has been named as Salah Eldin Adam

The 21-year-old has been identified locally as the victim of the fatal ‘targeted’ incident on Kings Road on Wednesday night.

Police were initially called to a ‘disturbance’ at a house at around 7.45pm.

Mr Adam suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

A spokesperson for South Manchester Coroners Court confirmed a file in relation to Mr Adam’s death had been passed to the coroner. An inquest into his death will open in due course.

Yesterday, a cordon remained in place around two houses as forensic officers scoured the scene for evidence. Shocked residents woke to find their street swarming with police.
