AN AMATEUR boxer has qualified for this summer's Olympic games.
Patrick Brown, a member of Moss Side Fire Station Boxing Club, has qualified for the Paris games after his success at the Boxing Road to Paris event in Italy. Competing for Great Britain, Patrick, 24, was the first to seal qualification after his defeat of Poland's Mateusz Bereznicki by unanimous decision in their heavyweight fight.
Patrick joined the club in 2020 and went on to become a double national champion while also training in Sheffield as part of the Great Britain Podium Squad.
