The seven-month-old girl was rushed to hospital in a critical condition last Wednesday after becoming 'critically ill' at Kids Around The Clock nursery in Chadderton, Oldham.
A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion section 18 assault and child cruelty but has since been bailed with strict conditions.
Ofsted have made the decision to temporarily close the setting and have also launched an investigation.
The little girl remains in hospital in what police have described as a 'serious but stable' condition. It's understood she suffered a life-changing injury to her brain.
