A GRANDMOTHER claims she is the woman MP Andrew Gwynne branded a 'Duki hag' in the WhatsApp group at the centre of a Labour scandal.

Elaine Cole said she initially had no idea she was part of the saga that has seen a string of councillors and two Members of Parliament suspended.

But after hearing excerpts from the shameful exchanges yesterday, she reacted with fury - and rubbished claims she made one of the underfire MP's colleagues cry.

The 75-year-old said she was involved in 'a bit of a shouting match' in the street with Gorton and Denton MP Mr Gwynne.

The bust-up was revealed from Mr Gwynne's point of a view The MP was also said to have made anti-Semitic slights in the group as well as joking about wishing a Stockport pensioner would die.

Members of the group, including Mr Gwynne, are accused of making sexist comments about Ms Rayner, the Ashton-under-Lyne MP, and allegedly racist remarks about Dianne Abbot. So far, 11 councillors and another MP who was in the group have been suspended.
