It’s no secret to City fans that some of the squad’s first-team stars could move on in the summer.
With Gundogan’s contract set to expire in the summer he has been linked with a free transfer to Barcelona and Bernardo has been rumoured to be Paris Saint-Germain’s top priority.
Pep Guardiola is not the type to stand in a player’s way if they express a desire to move on, and his side’s occasionally inconsistent displays perhaps mean it’s even more likely we could see some departures when the window opens.
Should Bernardo secure a move to Paris, the Blues will be looking for an energetic midfielder to replace him. With GAVI’S future at Barcelona looking uncertain, the Spaniard could be an excellent capture for City.
