Andre Moura, 30, was arrested by officers outside his home in Oldham in the early hours of July 7, 2018.

He was taken in a police van to Ashton police station however upon arrival the inquest heard he was 'not breathing' and was found to have 'no pulse! A custody nurse carried out CPR while paramedics were scrambled, but he later died.

Yesterday, jurors at South Manchester Coroners Court in Stockport were shown a number of video clips of the response of police officers to numerous calls made by Mr Moura's partner, and the mother of their four children, Catia Regueria.

During her initial call on July 6, she informed them she had asked him to leave as he had been 'taking drugs! Officers attended and asked him to spend the night elsewhere.

The inquest heard recordings of a number of subsequent 999 calls she made later that day in which she claimed he was either outside the property and or was 'banging on the door and trying to get in.

Officers attended again around 11.30 pm on the night of July 6 following the last of her calls in which she says he has got back into the property by climbing through a window.
