Alvarez ready for City lift-off

The Blues remain unbeaten in the Premier League and have a 100 per cent record in the Champions League.

Saturday's 3-0 victory at Wolves rounded off another great week for Pep Guardiola's team, but the boss will be aware of the challenges October will throw at his side.

Home matches against United, Southampton and Brighton are to come next month as well as trips to Anfield and Leicester, plus three Champions League fixtures against FC Copenhagen - twice- and Borussia Dortmund. Only a postponement stopped this schedule becoming even more packed with the visit to Arsenal set to be rearranged.
