That is the view of former City midfielder Dietmar Hamann, who feels Pep Guardiola has a challenge on his hands to get the best out of both Marmoush and Erling Haaland together in City's forward line.
Marmoush joined from the Bundesliga side last week after scoring 20 goals for them in all competitions so far this season.
The Egypt international was thrown straight into the City line-up in last weekend's 3-1 win over Chelsea and looked sharp on the left-hand side of the front three.
The 25-year-old's inclusion saw Grealish reduced to a watching role from the bench and his chances of regular football on the left-hand side look slimmer now, particularly given Savinho's recent good form in the role.
However, Hamann sees it as a positive thing and has urged City to try Grealish in a more central role to unlock more of his talents.
