STREAMS of Sinead O'Connor's music in the US rose by almost 3,000% following news of her shock death.
According to Billboard her songs were streamed 7.9million times from July 21-27 - soaring from 243,000 plays on July 24 and 25 to 7.3million on July 26 and 27.
Her iconic cover of Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U amassed 3.2million streams and was downloaded 10,000 times.
In the days after her death was announced streams of the Irish artist s songs jumped by 2,885% while downloads rose by more than 5,000%, Billboard figures show.
Sales of her albums across America also increased sharply by more than 1,300%.
