A man was arrested after almost &euro;4million worth of the drug was found in the vehicle he was driving in North Dublin.
The bust is a major blow to an organised crime gang and is one of the biggest seizures this year.
The vehicle was intercepted in the Balbriggan area on Friday evening and when it was searched&nbsp;187kg of cannabis herb and 30kg of cannabis resin was found.
A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the seizure and brought to a North Dublin Garda station for questioning under Section 2 of Criminal Justice Act (Drugs Trafficking) 1996. He can be&nbsp;held for up to seven days. A Garda spokesman said: "The combined value of the drugs seized is estimated at &euro;3.92million and will be sent to FSI (Forensic Science Ireland) for analysis.
"Investigations are ongoing and further updates will follow." Meanwhile, on the other side of the border police in Belfast seized cannabis with an estimated street value of &euro;6.9million.
