Sonya Egan, 43, of Lios Cara, Killeens, Co Cork, was not present at Cork Circuit Criminal Court for her sentencing yesterday.
She is on hunger strike in Limerick Prison where she is currently serving a two-year sentence for harassment.
Judge Catherine Staines said victim impact statements submitted to her made for "harrowing reading and it was hard to imagine the extent of the "devastation caused to professional people".
The court was told Egan, a qualified social worker, often became "fixated" with people who crossed her path and subsequently accused them of heinous crimes.
She retracted the false allegations made against six men and three women in Cork city over a five-year period. She pleaded guilty to eight counts of making false statements and six counts of making false reports between 2016 and 2020.
Judge Staines jailed her for six years, suspending the last two on condition Egan attends psychotherapy upon release.
