SAY goodbye to the old "tall, dark and handsome" cliche as women are now on the hunt for emotional maturity over looks in potential partners.
The opposite of typecasting, "open casting" beyond your usual type has emerged as a key trend to take over the dating world, according to new research.
The cost of living crisis is also going to create a change in our love lives, with findings suggesting there will be more chats about cash and finances.
But according to popular dating app Bumble's study, singletons should be optimistic overall about dating in 2023 with 70% feeling positive about future romance.
Here's the eight dating trends heading your way in 2023...
OPEN CASTING
Open casting refers to how 38% of people are now more open to who they consider dating beyond their type.
And 35% are placing less emphasis on dating people that others expect them to.
The majority of people, 63%, are now more focused on emotional maturity than physical requirements.
GUARDRAILING
With the return of office culture and busy social schedules, a lot of people are feeling overwhelmed right now.
