A WANTED Drogheda feud gang member returned from the UK briefly this week for what is believed to be the first time since he fled - to attend a family wedding.
Brendan Maguire, 42, an older brother of paralysed mob boss Owen Maguire, fled to the UK shortly after he was targeted in a murder attempt four years ago.
He had been warned by officers under Operation Stratus that his life was in danger before he was blasted in the botched hit close to a Smyths Toys Superstores outlet in Drogheda on February 26, 2019.
Brendan is wanted by gardai as he has a number of warrants outstanding for his arrest in relation to a violent disorder charge, possession of weapons, and other matters.
The warrants were issued in 2019 after he failed to appear before Drogheda District Court. He fled to Rochdale, Manchester, in late 2019 and has remained there since.
