AS April Fool's Day approaches a top law firm warned how workplace pranks can cause bother for bosses if they go wrong.

Employment experts in Peninsula Ireland told of cases in which high jinks saw bosses being held liable.

One involved a hairdresser with bosses being held liable.

One involved a hairdresser with a phobia of strawberries whose co-workers placed punnets in her locker, a storeroom, a workstation, and even the loo.

The employee suffered a panic attack and went off on long-term sick claiming stress and harassment, and the salon boss was held vicariously liable.
