VLAD'S BIGGEST BLITZ IN MONTHS

RUSSIA forged ahead with Europe's biggest land-grab since the Second World War yesterday after bombing five Ukrainian cities.

President Vladimir Putin led formalities in stealing 15% of Ukraine as his troops killed 25 residents in a strike in Zaporizhzhia, injuring 50 others.

As Putin spoke in Moscow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky branded Russian troops "bloodthirsty scum".

Putin had notified the State Duma lower house about annexing Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk.

It came amid fears Moscow's ally Belarus, Ukraine's northern neighbour, is preparing its war machine.
