TRIBUTES have been paid to a teenager who was killed in a road smash yesterday.&nbsp;
Jake Brennan, 17, died after crashing his car in Carrickaderry, Clontibret, Co Monaghan, at around 1.30am.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is understood Jake was on his way home after being out with pals.
A postmortem took place at the mortuary at Monaghan General Hospital yesterday.
Social Protection Minister and local TD Heather Humphreys said: &ldquo;Heartache and&nbsp;sadness have touched another family.

He was a former student of Monaghan Collegiate School.
A spokesman said: &ldquo;We extend deepest sympathy to the Brennan and Graham family circle, and we remember them in our prayers.&rdquo;
