I WOULDN'T normally be a stats man at all but you couldn't ignore the numbers here.

Seven corners in the first half hour for Molde, 14 shorts racked up by the home side in the first half and it took 63 minutes for Shamrock Rovers through Rory Gaffney to register a shot on the hosts' goal.

That's just a flavour of the stats but the numbers were all slanted badly against the Hoops.

In boxing parlance, Stephen Bradley's men hardly put a glove on the Norwegians. There was nothing positive to take from this third group game.

For all three of the goals conceded there were more Rovers shirts in the picture than there were Molde attackers.
