THE family of the Cashel road crash victims released these heartbreaking photos of their tragic loved ones yesterday.

Thomas O’Reilly, 45, his wife Bridget, 46, and their three-year-old grandson Tom O’Reilly all died when the car they were travelling in hit a wall near Cashel, Co Tipperary.

The horror crash on Tuesday night also saw Tom’s parents – both 22 and understood to have been in the driver and passenger seats of the car – seriously injured and taken to hospital.

Gardai said Tom’s father was in a “serious” condition while his mother had non life-threatening condition at Tipperary University Hospital.

And it comes days after Luke McSweeney, 24, his sister Grace and their pals Zoey Coffey and Nicole Murphy, all 18, were killed in a crash in nearby Clonmel on Friday.

Eleven people have died on Irish roads in the last seven days bringing the toll to 125 so far this year.

Paying tribute to her parents and little nephew yesterday Annemarie O’Reilly said: “Rest in peace mummy and daddy and my one and only little nephew. You were too good for this world. Can’t believe it.”

Family members also asked for prayers for little Tom’s parents who were still in hospital last night following the devastating crash.

Other relatives paid tributes at the scene in the Windmill area outside Cashel but declined to speak – with one saying only, “sorry, we’re devastated”.

Meanwhile, at the same spot yesterday afternoon Gda Supt Kieran Ruane of the Tipperary South Community Engagement Area told of the family’s heartbreak.
