Pub staff ‘heroes’ after saving life

STAFF at a popular pub, who only learned CPR last month, have been praised as “heroes” after they saved the life of an elderly customer.

Employees cried when they got a call on Wednesday to tell them the much-loved 82-year-old was out of a coma and recovering well. Bar manager Ross Penny at the Round O Pub in Navan, Co Meath, said staff were distraught when the regular suffered a heart attack as they had “such a connection to him”.
