BERTIE Ahern has claimed speculation he will run for president is "disrespectful" to Michael D Higgins.
The former three-time Taoiseach sparked rumours he was considering a tilt at the top job after he rejoined Fianna Fail last month following an 11-year hiatus.
But the former leader said he is a "huge supporter" of Mr Higgins and hasn't decided if he'll run in any election race.
Mr Ahern was speaking on the UK-based News Agents podcast.
