Quartet of tries for hooker Dan as fears grow over Lanc exit

DAN SHEEHAN helped himself to four tries as Leinster cruised to their first home victory of the new URC season at the RDS.

All the pre-match focus was on reports from France that Stuart Lancaster has already signed a four-year deal to become Racing 92's head coach in the summer.

Clarity on the situation and confirmation of the move could come from the province over -the weekend or the start of next week.

But the Leinster players had to maintain tunnel vision and, after almost allowing Zebre to steal a shock victory in Parma, this was more like it from Leo Cullen's men in front of a 13,881 crowd.

The hosts took to the pitch to a pumping soundtrack that may have been heard north of the Liffey.

Hooker Sheehan crossed the Benetton line three times between the seventh and 29th minute and then again in the 53rd minute.

Ciaran Frawley was handed the No.10 shirt before leaving for the Emerging Ireland three-match tour in South Africa.
