NEIL Morrissey has found out about the extraordinary lives of his Irish ancestors in a TV show.
The Men Behaving Badly actor teamed up with Line of Duty co-star Adrian Dunbar for ITV's DNA Journey.
The 60-year-old was especially keen to find out about his family as he was taken into care when he was just 10 years old, so feels disconnected from his own history.
Morrissey's DNA tests show he is 1% Scottish and 99% Irish.
He beamed: "I cannot wait to tell everyone I know." Heading to Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny, the actor discovers the battles between his ancestors the Loughlins, with another infamous local clan, the Brennans.
