A MAN previously charged with the assault of a 68-year-old pensioner yesterday appeared in court accused of his murder.
The assault charge against Aaron Wolfe, 29, has been withdrawn now he has been charged with the murder of Florence “Florrie” O’Sullivan.
Mr O’Sullivan died at Cork University Hospital on April 6. He was treated there after an alleged incident at Glentrasna Court, The Glen, Cork city, on March 11.
Det Gda Caitriona Molloy gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution at Cork District Court yesterday.
She told Judge Olann Kelleher that Mr Wolfe made no reply when he was charged with murder.
