Sanctions for criminals on US list

GARDAI have pinpointed criminal targets to hit with financial sanctions after they were placed on a list of over 600 banned from the US over links to the Kinahan cartel.

Investigators tasked with dismantling Daniel Kinahan’s mob are gathering evidence in a bid to extend monetary penalties beyond the initial seven cartel chiefs the US government declared war on last month.

On the list compiled by American authorities, in conjunction with the UK and gardai, there are major Irish and international criminals.

There are also figures from the professional boxing industry who Daniel had worked with as he attempted to improve his reputation through the sport.

As it stands, these people cannot gain entry to the States.
