Family’s farewell to tragic hurler Dillon

TRAGIC hurling star Dillon Quirke will be laid to rest tomorrow following his death during a game last week.

A funeral service will be held for the young man at noon in St John the Baptist Church in Clonoulty, Tipperary followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Today, he will repose at his family’s home between 4pm and 8pm.

Dillon was playing for Clonoulty-Rossmore against Kilruane MacDonaghs at Semple Stadium in the Tipperary senior hurling club championship on Friday evening when he became ill just before half-time.
