Hundreds are expected to attend today's funeral of Teddy, who passed away aged 57.
In 1990, he wrote himself into the GAA history when he became&nbsp;the only player to win the AllIreland inter-county hurling and football medals, in the same season.
His body reposed at Barry Bros Funeral Home in Glanmire, Co Cork, yesterday evening.
Teddy will be buried later today following the Requiem Mass at&nbsp;11am in St Joseph's Church. The burial will take place afterwards at Rathcooney Cemetery.
The funeral will leave Barry Bros Funeral Home, Hazelwood at 9.45am. Juveniles from Sarsfield Club, where Teddy was vicechairman will form a guard of honour outside the club, and&nbsp;others are invited to line the procession route.
Tanaiste Michael Martin said: "I am deeply saddened at the passing of Teddy McCarthy whose unique achievements in 1990 will forever live in our memories.
"He thrilled all with his soaring leaps into the sky."
