Arguably Ireland’s fastest postman and two-time national marathon champion David Carrie and his wife Aileen crossed the Tokyo finish line on March 5.
It secured their prestigious six marathon medals and entry to the Abbott World Marathon Majors Hall of Fame. It took the grandparents of two, eight years to complete all six marathons after Covid delayed their dream by three years.
