MET Eireann has issued two thunderstrom warnings for 10 counties - as some parts of Ireland experience near-30C heat.
The first Status Yellow thunderstorm warning came into place for Cavan, Monaghan, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly and Westmeath, with a second covering Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo.
Localised thunderstorms will strike the affected areas with "frequent lightning" expected.
And the national forecaster has warned there may be more localised thunderstorms inland today.
This comes amid the very warm and humid conditions affecting Ireland with temperatures of potentially up to 28C in parts to hit today.

A Met Eireann spokesperson said: "Daytime temperatures in excess of 27C in many areas away from coasts with nighttime temperatures not falling below 15C.
The national forecaster has also&nbsp;urged people to be aware of possible impacts of the hot weather, including heat stress, uncomfortable sleeping conditions and the risk of water-related incidents.
