BENGALURU:
Shah, on a day-long visit to the poll-bound state, held a massive roadshow as part of the BJP's 'Vijaya Sankalp Abhiyan' in the Kundgol town of Dharwad, as sounds of beating drums, chants of "Modi Modi", and "Bharat Mata ki Jai" slogans reverberated. He was accompanied by Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union minister Pralhad Joshi, senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa, the party's general secretary in-charge Arun Singh, state unit president Nalin Kumar Kateel and former chief minister Jagadish Shettar.
Addressing the crowd at the end of the roadshow, Shah targeted the Opposition, saying: "Congress only does aarti of Gandhi family, and in JD(S) grandfather, son, grandson, their wives, grandson's son everyone wants to contest polls... the youth should tell, do they have a place in that party?"
