Ahead of the Bihar assembly polls, former Union minister and former JD(U) chief RCP Singh announced the merger of his party, Aap Sabki Awaaz (AASA), with Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj on Sunday.

PATNA: Both the leaders were once close confidants of JD(U) chief and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar. While Kishor left his position as JD(U) vice president in 2020 due to differences over CAA/NRC stance, Singh quit JD(U) in 2022 after the party sought explanation from him over charges of corruption.
