Australian star Short signs up for defence of T20 title

EXPLOSIVE Australian top-order batter D'Arcy Short has signed for defending champions Gloucestershire ahead of their T20 Vitality Blast campaign.

A dynamic left-hander and a dangerous wrist-spinner, Short, 34, has represented Australia in IT20 and ODI formats, while also lighting up franchise leagues around the globe including the IPL and The Hundred.
In IT20s, Short boasts an average of 30.6 from 23 appearances for Australia, and has featured in eight ODIs for Australia, maintaining an average of 30.1.
Short is best known for his time with the Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL, where he ranks fifth on the league's all-time run-scoring list and claimed back-to-back BBL Player of the Tournament awards.
