The actress and model is in rehearsals for her role as Sally Bowles in the Playhouse Theatre’s production of the hit musical, set at the hedonistic Kit Kat Club in 1930s Berlin.
Her predecessors include Jessie Buckley and self-esteem star Rebecca Lucy Taylor. She will play opposite Luke Treadaway as The Emcee.
Delevingne, 31, said the hardest part had been “believing in myself”, adding: “And not caring what other people think. Because even if I did the best I possibly could, and even if that was really good, people are still going to be like, ‘She doesn’t deserve to be here.’ You know, I auditioned like anyone else, it’s just annoying, but I have to tune that out.”
