CORRIE'S Colson Smith had a terrifying encounter with a "ghost" - but things weren't as spooky as they seemed.
The actor got properly spooked one night while sleeping on his mum and dad's couch.
Speaking on his On The Sofa podcast, he said: "I kept seeing this light come past the door, like it constantly came past the door.
"So I was like, 'Right, ignore it. But then I'm drifting off and I hear this noise.
"And then my heart is f***ing pounding, and I'm like, 'God, it's a bad spirit." Colson who plays Craig Tinker on the ITV soap - tried his best to get some shut-eye.
But after a few hours, the Celebrity Big Brother star heard the terrifying sound of laughter and ran upstairs to alert his mum.
The 25-year-old said: "I remember I had my Sonic The Hedgehog pyjamas on. I thought, 'I'm just going to go up to my mum's room and I'm telling her that I'm going to stay in a hotel'
"This is because I'd heard this witch's cackle."
Asked what the scary noise turned out to be, he replied: "It was the f***ing air freshener.
"But it sent me, I was gone. My heart was absolutely racing."
