SINCE saving Eurovision Sam Ryder has played stadiums, festivals and even for royalty - but he will never forget his humble roots.
The elastic-voiced star began his career as a versatile wedding singer, where he honed his skills and learned how to work audiences.
Now as the stages he performs on get bigger, he finds himself channelling those early days as a way of getting the best out of himself.
Sam explained: "It was the absolute best singing practice you could ever ask for. And I still think that I have so much to learn, but the majority of what I learned about singing was done in weddings.
