TONY MOWBRAY has ordered Sunderland to "flirt" with the Championship play-off zone.
The Black Cats boss says there is no pressure on his young stars to win promotion this term but he thinks they should aim for the top six with "no anxiety or tension".
It was expected their first season back in the second tier for four years would be one of consolidation, especially after losing Scotland striker Ross Stewart for much of the season to injury.
But Mowbray's men have fared well, including beating promotion-chasing Norwich on Sunday, and are building a mobile, expansive young side.
