PARENTS are being warned not to panic about monkeypox if their kids break out in a rash. 
They are being told by boffins it is more likely their children have chickenpox.
Dr. Hugh Adler, a research fellow of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, said: &ldquo;As a parent, I wouldn&rsquo;t be encouraging people to be trying to differentiate between monkeypox and chickenpox.&rdquo;
Dr. Adler also revealed that monkeypox sufferers may be infectious long after their scabs and rashes disappear. It was previously thought people stopped being contagious when marks healed, after two to four weeks, said the NHS.

Dr. Adler added: &ldquo;We can see it remains positive in the throat and blood for the length of the illness and maybe even longer after the rash is resolved.
