A BRITISH couple were murdered and their bodies were thrown to crocodiles by a ruthless gang, a court heard.
Botanists Rod Saunders, 74, and their wife Rachel, 63, were kidnapped as they scoured a remote South African nature reserve for rare seeds.
They were beaten to death, wrapped in their sleeping bags, and tossed into a crocodile-infested river.
